1980年生まれ。京都在住。デザイナー、コピーライター、ボディワーカー、ダンサー。真言宗の阿闍梨の孫で、幼少期より仏教に親しんできた。描く作品は「観自在」がテーマ。それは視点を変えることで囚われ過ぎによる思考のクセを外して楽に生きられるようにと躍りながら自由に描いている抽象画で、モチーフはなく、あえて向きを決めず、向きによって、また、見る人によって、印象が変わる。絵を見て感じる時間を持ち、自身の感性と向き合ってもらうことや、上手下手関係なく本当に自由に絵を描くことによって、それぞれの内なる喜びが生まれ、その喜びが循環していくことを願い活動している。

筆や道具を使わず、手にアクリル絵の具を直接つけてキャンバスに絵を描くことで、作品に独特のエネルギーと表現力を与えています。画家のミケル・バルセロが語った「考えるより早く描く」という言葉に深い感銘を受け、私の作品もそのようなスピード感と直感性が反映されています。
私の作品には、視点を変えることで物事の見方が変わり、より楽に生きられることというメッセージが込められています。作品を飾る向きは、意図的に決めず、鑑賞者自身が自由に飾ることを提案しています。それによって、視点や角度の違いによって作品の印象が変わり、新たな発見や感動が生まれるのです。このコンセプトを象徴する言葉として、「観自在」という言葉を使用しています。
私は過去に京都や東京で個展を開催したり、神社に絵を奉納したり、プロのミュージシャンとのコラボレーションでライブペインティングのイベントを開催したりしてきました。また、作品はプリンスホテルにも飾られたことがあります。これらの経験から、私の作品は多くの人々に魅力を与え、賞賛されてきたことを自負しております。
私の作品を通じて鑑賞者が得ることは、自分自身との繋がりを体感することです。作品を眺める際に、心の奥深くに触れる感情や共感が生まれ、鑑賞者自身の内なる喜びや発見が湧き上がるのです。

Allow me to present to you the remarkable artistic journey of Yasuhiro Terashima, a visionary artist based in Kyoto, born in 1980. With a profound dedication to abstract painting, Terashima captures and expresses emotions as they are felt, embracing a process devoid of conscious thought.
Eschewing brushes and tools, Terashima applies acrylic paint directly onto canvas using his hands, infusing his works with a distinct energy and expressive power. Inspired by the words of painter Miquel Barceló, who once said, “Paint faster than you think,” Terashima’s creations embody that sense of speed and intuitive spontaneity.
